EKBIA Christmas Mixer
- News and Updates
On December 11, we hosted our first ever Christmas mixer at Tumbleweeds Pub. They are already known for decorating based on the season, and they absolutely nailed it for Christmas too, which made the whole space feel really festive.
We had over 50 people attend, with around 24 of them being members. Since our mixers are open to businesses across Valleyview, Dallas, and Campbell Creek, we were really happy to see a good percentage of members show up and engage. It is always nice to see more businesses learning about the newly established BIA and what we can do for them.
During the evening, our Executive Director Clare shared a short update on everything that has been happening since we launched in May. She spoke about how much has been done in a short time, from setting up the office and building our brand to connecting with businesses across the district.
She also touched on insights from our first member survey, which helped highlight what businesses want to see more of, including safer and cleaner streets, better visibility, and more opportunities to connect as a community.
Overall, it was a great way to close out the year, bring people together, and continue building momentum for what’s ahead.

East Kamloops BIA operates on the traditional and unceded territories of the Secwepemcúl’ecw (Secwépemc) and Nłeʔkepmx Tmíxʷ (Nlaka’pamux)
